Temporary Public Access Closure of Fire Station 62 Due to Emergency Concrete Repairs FORT MYERS, Fla. — South Trail Fire & Rescue District announces the temporary closure to public access of Station 62, located at 13500 Sophomore Lane off Daniels Pkwy, due to emergency concrete repairs on the front and rear bay aprons. The closure will begin on Monday, November 3rd, 2025. Station 62 will remain fully operational, and firefighters will continue to operate from Station 62 to ensure uninterrupted emergency response services within the district. Repairs are expected to take approximately 120 days. Santa mailboxes are back until December 17th! South Trail Fire & Rescue is excited to share that decorated Santa’s Mailboxes have been placed outside the front door of stations 61, 63 and 64! Every child who drops off a letter will receive a letter back from Santa—complete with a Nice List certificate! Letters can be dropped off now through December 17th. We are always willing to put in the work to help spread some holiday magic!
